Wood Working Tips: Wood Router Tips
www.duncanmacgibbon.com for more detail information! If you’re a woodworker you’re probably familiar with the challenge of finding suitable plans for wood projects. Depending on how complex the wood project plans are, the average price for many plans runs from about .00 to .00, and up. Most of the really seasoned woodworkers I know hardly ever buy project plans anymore, but the really exceptional one’s always draw out their own plan to follow. I’ve also noticed that most of them have a stash of plans filed away somewhere that they’ve worked on in the past, and can reference when needed. If you’re brand new to woodworking, or are still somewhat of a novice, your wood project plan will be an important part of your woodworking project. Not having a good set of project plans can result in wasted material as well as time. That can get really expensive really fast. So, it is my strong recommendation to first find a good set of plans to use before starting a project. Also, start with relatively easy wood project plans; you don’t want to get in over your head or skill level. Woodworking can be an incredibly enjoyable pursuit, but it can also be very frustrating when things go wrong. Another big time saver when it comes to woodworking plans is the fact that most plans include a materials list and stock list. If you’re not familiar with a stock list, it is a table listing every wooden part necessary including dimensions to construct your project. Knowing what materials and …

Will a dremel bit on a drill cut wood?
So I’m doing a little woodworking project over summer with some friends, we have all of the lumber and tools necessary, but we’re still missing the most important tool we need, a dremel.
We tried looking online but no where near-by has a dremel for rent and we don’t want to spend 0 buying one.
Here on Yahoo awnsers, I saw there was a question about a dremel bit being used on a drill so here’s my question:
If you put a dremel bit into a drill, will it be able to cut throught wood?
The other question said it would’nt be able to cut metal, but nothing about wood, so anyone got anything?
The wood being cut is a 1/2 inch plywood

How to woodwork with just a power planer?
I’m new to woodworking. Plan to use good lumber. Do I need a jointer and a planer or just a planer?
All the books I read go through the typical steps of jointing, planing and then cutting for width. If you only use a planer, what is the best way to do this and does it work well?
Thanks!
To clarify, I would be using a thickness planer, not a hand planer. Can you get by with just a thinkness planer and not a jointer? Then some folks are saying if you had to choose between the two get a jointer?
